Most people find something they want to sell thats the first step but the second step is not going to a supplier and killing your bank account , That can become a problem in many ways so many people go " oh my god i need to start making tons of ( whatever you are planning on selling) and start buying ( -----) and then noticing that your spending more then whats coming in ... in other words you arent making much of a profit to cover that $30 you spent on that designer fabric .Many would comment on the fact that maybe you should cover your costs before you go on a supply shopping spree or maybe just limit your self .
As a jewelry designer i have enough supplies to make a few necklaces but selling 1-2 necklaces a week would be the right amount to cover that etsy bill for THAT week, and maybe buy enough chain for my necklaces and other projects.
Think long term but at the same time try to work on marketing your shop
